I'm still slightly in shock that using a combination of yummy foody oils (olive, avocado & coconut etc), simple household ingredients (like baking soda, sugar and white vinegar) and these pure little bottles of magic can make all of things I have spent a fortune on, for UNnatural products, which don't even work as well as these. Really still in shock. Why has it taken me this long to catch on? Good marketing I guess. Wanting to be cheap for sure. But then even when I finally decided it was time to splurge and buy beautiful skincare products (which were natural and smelt amazing!) my skin just broke out even worse and I had to abandon them. I had issues with my skin for about a year (which I'm convinced was in part due to being on the pill) and I had just given up on ever having nice skin again. But after a week or due of introducing these natural, easy and yummy essential oil based regimes I had my first full weekend of having perfectly clear skin. It was amazing. My routine became lots of lemon water, this daily scrub, and then using my favourite face roller (with Young Living Frank, Copaiba, Purification and Lavender) and lathering on the coconut oil. Not only did my face get free, but a patch of eczema I have also had for a long time has reduced to barely bothering me (instead of day and night being itchy!) and this oily scrub is also perfect for rough skin I have always had on my arms. Now you know all my secrets! It's quite hard sharing this kind of thing but when you finally get free of things like this that you've just kind of put up with but always wanted to see improve, you can't help it!

Peppermint Citrus Scrub

I use this DAILY as a face and body scrub and my skin has never felt better.

1 cup SUGAR
1/4-1/3 cup OIL
(Young Living v6, melted coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond, apricot or avocado oil are good ones)
10 drops peppermint essential oil
10-15 drops CITRUS FRESH essential oil

Mix sugar and oil together. Depending on what type of oil you use, you may need to add more or less to get the proper consistency. You are looking for enough oil to make the sugar stick together, but not so much that it is floating on top. Gradually add in the essential oils until you've reached the desired scent. It may take more or less, depending on the type of oils you use. Store your sugar scrub in a glass container. To use rub a small amount of the scrub on your hands or body, rinse with warm water.

Experiment with different scent combos - Cinnamon & Brown Sugar, Lavender, Tea Tree & Lemon & Frankincense, Ylang Ylang & Geranium

Substitute sugar for bicarbonate of soda for a deeper clean - or mix it up with a bit of both.

Needless to say I wouldn't want him eating any of my old skincare products! But this one is delicious in every way!
